True about 34,000 km being high for a Ducati.

Wouldn't you moan as well? 34,000 isn't high and its happened to two other bikes in the country. I wouldn't be happy either!

Just flicked through the entire thread. 22 other bikes with the same problem.....

    It's not an unreasonable complaint. 180kg isn't a lot and 34k is f*ck all.

I say that tongue in cheek really but I once had a Darmah which at 40 odd thou k's was in need of a lot of TLC. Cost me a fortune to keep it going.

You reckon 34,000 kilometres is HIGH MILEAGE ? ? ? ,,,, I bet no salesperson of ANY vehicle will fess up to their machines being buggered at that sort of distance.

    thrashed it
And where do you get the idea and/or proof that I "THRASHED IT" ? ? ?

    2 up fully loaded
188kg was the TOTAL LOAD on the bike, that according to the Ducati Owner's Manual is supposed to be rated at 200kg load capacity.
So on my maths, thats 12kg short of "Fully Loaded" ,,,,, or is your maths as bad as your attitude and powers of thought ?

    with the suspensioning bottoming
Yep, it bottomed out 5-6 times ,,,, as ANY bike would have done in similar circumstances. In fact there were 2 other ST's amongst the 6 bikes on the trip, and both of those, along with the other 3 bikes also bottomed out as well. Mine was the only one to suffer any damage.

and is now moaning because its broken
YEP ,,,, and so would you, if you knew all the other FACTS ,,, before you posted such an ill informed comment.

NOPE .... Am close to getting it sorted without any legal intrusions.
Simply presented the appropriate people with FACTS, backed up by witnesses, technical data, and laboratory EVIDENCE.
And have 2 government departments queing up to take it further via legislative process.
It all comes down to how you represent the FACTS.

Wot he does not know about is the time the previous owner was rear ended, destroying the rear wheel and swing arm...but is okay because the insurance company replace both with same as original.

You really should not have said that so soon in the piece, it displays a lack of understanding about KB that goes beyond your post count, it screams this person has done no research here.

You have entered a land like none other, normal rules do not apply here. This is the interweb where being correct does not not make you right merely another target for someone who mate knows better because he once built a toaster that toasted bread both sides in 30 seconds, the fact he no has no body hair, severe thermal radiation burns and has lost the sight in the eye he opened to see if the job was done will of course never be mentioned.

Anyhow that aside have been kind of following this with interest as I have an '04 that has a few more kilometres on the clock and has had the issue of bottoming out.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.
