What type of park light does a Honda CBR 250 use?

So im thinking of changing my MC19 Park lights but im not sure what type of bulbs they are? any ideas? or LED replacements?

haha I sure do. yeah, i was planning to but after a long hard think i decided i had put too much time effort and money into to her to sell. gnna keep her a while i think. any idea what kind of Park Lights the CBR 250 park lights are?

99% sure you will have T3 wedge bulbs in the park light holders.....like this:

There don't seem to be many LED replacements for that size but since park lights are fairly non critical in terms of beam pattern and so on, why not make your own?

Use knead it or a piece of plastic or scrap of wood or something to make a wedge shape for the base and solder together your own LED(s) and resistor.

Note that white/yellow are the only legal colours....also note that you could put 2 LEDs in each position and switch them i.e. some colour (off road only use of course) or standard white.

Thanks mate, Will double check over the weekend to make sure they are t3's. Mmmm im not too sure about making my own, Was planning on getting some blue ones, but was worried about getting pulled over.. chances are high?

Chances are very high....colours are illegal, and blue and red seem to be particular targets for getting pulled over for some reason.....

But a switch would allow you to have the bike parked up with them on, or off a public road....if you're really quick you might get away with "what do you mean they looked blue officer? You can see they are clearly not...." but of course that would be naughty.

If you're interested in a craft project, give it a go! I'll give you some ideas if you want. The cost will be pretty minimal, and it should be quite easy depending on how handy you are at moulding a piece of knead-it or similar into the right shape.

Yeah a switch does sound very nice.. I dont really have any resources nor the skills for creating my own park lights.. if anything i will just replace them with White LED's now after the realisation of being pulled over (my exhaust is also to loud nor do i wear a L plate... EVER)

Just to let all you MC19 owners out there know, The bulb was a T5 wedge... Any idea on the type of bulb used in brake/tail lights and indicators?

Maybe the easiest way is to pull one then use google image search or a bulb cattle-dog (catalog) to match them up....something like:

Yea i would much rather just pull them out and go from there but i have no time plus rear lights are hard to get to when your fairings are nice and tight on :P

i think they will be a T10..
