    Hey Craig.
Don't take this personally as I am not point at the negatives on this, but if you were to get a positive out of this. How about some form of Job sheet the tech's fill out as they are doing the repair.
Something as simple as a job sheet can remove a large amount of confusion from situations like this. It also would track parts a bit better.
I have only heard good things from Cycletreads, and will be out to see you guys for the next set of rubber.
But in the service industry, a simple piece of paper detailing what the tech does is worth $$$ so you can charge the time it takes for them to fill it out.
Happy to explain more in private. I take you as a person that looks forward to improving things.
    Cheers

Always got what I needed from cycle treads

Only problem I have is that I always get served by dudes my age who have no idea about the products in the store. Thank god I research before I go in there, but when I asked about standard toe sliders for my boots the guy had no idea what I was talking about. Guess he's learning and knows now, minimum wage can only get you a certain standard of workers

I can understand how the place isn't perfect but I have had some work done there before and was very happy. Braided brake lines and fork seal changes for pretty cheap.
...Full throttle till you see god, then brake.

    LOL @ my old post

See its till up there! To be honest whatever they charged me should have been $35 labour for about 1/2hr "looking into it". If they said "We looked at it and its not worth our time take it away..." I would have been happy. By the way I still buy stuff from CycleTreads upstairs. Every now and they someone makes a uneducated mistake. (Including myself) Buying bike "shampoo" instead of the trusted Motomuck. But I was in a hurry and were told its "the same". I believe if you stupid you must PAY!!! Eventually gave the $90 of car shampoo to someone who could use it.

My $40 carb kit came from US within the week. Ebay traders in US rocks, all I bought from so far. (Touch wood) Guy from Watercraftworld installed it and costed 300+ all up. I still have original carb kit I ordered from Yamaha $80+ for anyone who wants it. Its free for anyone who can change a jet (any jet) in a warrior under 30 mins ...LOL!
If you think I am a fool or "know" I am a fool then stop commenting. Only fool comments on a fools post. I was a fool for paying, a fool for not challenging the dude on the spot. Now go away in peace. "We got your money FOOL!"

That was bollocks because it cost(ed) you $300!

Reread your own thread. No one is on your side and no one believes you...

Take this any way you want Flippi: I've dealt with Cycletreads for a while and had both good and bad service. However, they have always sorted things out in the end.

In future it might pay to ask KBers about the best way of handling things if you've reached a stalemate before you go bagging people online.

Also, points to Craig for fronting up here although he shouldn't have had to.

My experience has been the same as everyone else on here. Cycletreads were great to me. Bought 2 new tires from them, and they ran a few things cheaper for me without even asking for it. Did a great job, and they were quick. I'll continue to use them for the things I dont have the means to do myself.

$35 for having it in there for a week (or however the hell long it was in there), is a deal. You were fortunate to have walked away with it. They already said they werent too keen to work with it, but still gave it a shot. Honestly, you dont have any reason to bitch other then for how long it took to hear back from them. Even then, you're still off for your assessment of them.

Im sure it was cycleworks that sold me some gear on trade me a while back.Great prices and service. At 70per hour maybe they should get a 18wheeler truck and have mobile service centre.Wouldnt mind saving some coin in Wellington.Never heard of less than 1hr min charge either.Perhaps you were more upset at the fact that the bike had so many other faults that the service of your carb was most likely never going to fix the real issue and Cycleworks would have been worried about this and expressed this prior to starting. What you have now is a professional accessment of the faults that need fixing for only $35.00
