Wondering if us employing a 'store-detective' type person to walk around all day keeping an eye on people might work. True it might add to our costs collectively, but happy to listen to other ideas to catch the little bar stewards red handed.

I have to confess to being one of those thieving barstards at TRRS.....
I had lent someone an electric kettle, then decided to borrow it back...only I borrowed someone elses identical kettle...felt mortified when I realised. I sheepishly returned it...and got caught doing so!

Haha, so that was you janet ! It was my jug that my mate had in garage 15 that went missing and he said it "returned" itself..................

I will let you off for looking after me while I had a lie down on the track ;-)

    Guilty as charged...
How are you feeling mate? Look after yourself, eh, and give us a shout if you need anything.

Sad to think that we as honest motorcyclists, who leave our gear unattended whilst on the track, now have the need to lock everything away for the "just in case" it gets pinched moment.

Maybe we should all keep a better eye on the pits closest to ours when out they're out riding the track - esp if there are some undesireables lurking around.

Still, shame it needs to come to it.

Hope some of you have managed to get your gear back.

...used to be once upon a time that you could leave your shovels and crowbars on a job site and know they would be safe, as thieving bastards treated hard work implements like a vampire treated a clove of garlic...now they are targeted for the metal weight, down at the scrappies...
