    New chica greetings (Maakz)

Hey yáll, iv'e been a long time lurker ghosting for awhile tryna glean basically any and all pertinent info that my keen lil newb mind can digest re motorcycology. I aint ashamed to proclaim, i'm a total newb and wannabe, i drool at the sight of a bike and eye em up like they're bloomin candy. Am now in possession of learners but taking it real slow, having decided to invest in some lessons first so as not to end up as road kill. Have always had a yin to ride, but never had the cajonés to just NIKE it (just do it). Superkeen but realise the prudence of establishing competency. Hope to save in the meantime for gear+bike+insurance. Doing the typical newb things at the mo and cranking through all the old posts, tips and info etc. I'm out south aukz way, have yet to find a mentor-join wima and SAS etc. Just popped in to throw up a Hello to the riding/enthusiast community (esp other riders in training),i'm lookng foward to posting and to making a total nuisance of myself in the pursuit of futhering my motorcycling asperations. BTW love the banter, general sarcasm and wit expressed in some of these posts! Cheers everyone.

Welcome to KB, and good plan saving up for all the gear and stuff. If I can offer one peice of advice, get the best you can afford, after all, the only thing between endless skin grafts and the road is your gear. Hope ya have a long and enjoyable love affair with motorbikes

Hey Maakz, welcome to the site. As you will have already seen, search is your best friend at the mo.

Go and sit on lots of bikes to find the one that fits you like a glove. And then before buying it, come back on here and see what others say about your choice.

The best bike for you is the best bike for you, regardless what others might think about it for themselves.

    Good luck.

Welcome and enjoy the ride Agree with the comments that the best bike is the one that fits ya and feels right etc and that good gear is worth it's weight in gold...especially helmets!
