Does anyone else watch this programme? Wednesday nights @ 8.30pm.

I discovered it a few months ago (I don't really watch much tv so hadn't realised it was on earlier).

They play some good stuff....last night was "I Don't Like Mondays" by the Boomtown Rats. Boy, Bob Geldof was quite cute when he was young!! It's one of my favourite songs, brings back many memories....

I understand the song was written to reflect a real event in the US where a schoolgirl went beserk with a gun and killed a number of her classmates - when asked why she did it her reply was "I don't like Mondays". I presume she did her shooting rampage on a Monday. Anyone know anything more about it?

On another note, Headliners is playing clips of new/old videos in a "search for the best song ever" or something. I sometimes see a couple of minutes of it before the news (I tape One's news most nights). Promises "Baby It's You" is on this week's selection - now there's another great song. (Am I showing my age or what???)

Anyone remember the Tracey Ullman song titled something like "they don't know about us" which at the end of the video shows her in a car with Paul McCartney - apparently he's her cousin??? I don't remember the words much but I remember liking the song when it came out - must do a search on the net some time for the words.

Couple of months ago, Riff and I were watching Flashys (I'm a James Colman fan) and they played "I have loved me a man" by some bloke in 1980. Then as a treat! Colman interviewed him on the show 25 years after the release of the single.

Sue will remember the dudes name, I was far too grossed out.

It was, without a doubt, the single worst music video I've ever seen.

Yeah I saw that too! I think he's pretty famous in the drag queen scene.. Mika??? Though it was the eighties and you have to give them some concessions for that alone, I have to agree that there was some pretty scarey people in that video
