i have all the gear two piece zip together, boots, gloves, helmet, backplate. but unsure about the bike. iv heard the term wire up sump plugs heaps befor but dont actually know wat exactly this means!!!
you have to turn your bike upside down, take out the sump drain plug, drill a hole through it, put it back in, then use lockwire to ensure the thing can't come out, dumping oil all over the track and your back wheel.

Ive been out there when a couple of cars were running, and there was only me and another bike. It was fine. Funniest thing was a guy spinning a Porsche at potlole three times.

I would be keen except my bike is in bits presently. all I have to do is put it together (hopefully). I do want to give it a quiet thrash before doing anything too rash on it.

We spun the sidecar through the infield sweeper with a formula ford about 2 metres behind us I was expecting to wear him

Got passed by a OSCAR one other time, I saw him coming, the rider got a bit of a scare though

Go to the Nurburgring and have a Porsche 996 come underneath you into a hairpin when you think you "are on it" then define "SURPRISE" gives you a perspctive of how cars and bikes difer under brakes/acceleration ............ ailed him on the exit.
Can be acceptable when all riders/drivers are race orientated.......... but race car drivers and road bike riders DO NOT mix

This got a bit out of control , next there will be sherman tanks and mad farmers withe their john deeres out there. Its not the norm to run bikes and cars together unless only a few turn up. They change to sessions real quick because they care about your saftey.

They do run a reasonably tight ship out there, and on the few occasions out there that I've shared with cars the drivers have gone out of their way to give us plenty of room. It's the great thing about the track, and it's completely opposite to the road. That is, 99% of people out there are enthusiasts and care about their safety and the others using the track. Now compare that to the road...

For a first timer yeah you're probably right. Although on only my 3rd time out I rode on A Tuesday where most of the National riders/teams were practising and it was no problem. Just stick to your line and don't look behind you, as with any time you go on the track, and anyone would be fine. Just a little intimidated...
