    Copying webinars from a website?

    Hi There

Can anybody help me? I've purchased a number of webiniars as a present for wife this Christmas. Unfortunately I found they are only available to view on the website directly.

I was expecting to be able to download them and put them onto a DVD that she could actually open on Christmas day, are there ways that I can rip/record them from the site?

    Cheers
    NN

Depends on what the webinar was created with. Chances are the licence you bought only allows you to view the webinar, not download it.

Why don't you get her a nice card, and put the URL and details in it.

p.dath is right, it's difficult to download streams from sites like this. A few addons for firefox might work but no guarantee. Try these:

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3006/

    http://techpp.com/2009/03/13/firefox...wnload-plugin/

Unfortunately for these sites you are not really buying the video, but access to the video. They spend a lot of time and money making it very hard for you to extract the video from the site itself. As dath said, you're probably better trying to give her something else to unwrap and have the links to the site.
