    Coolant level?

Had a look the coolant today (where the cap reads coolant) and looks like its less than full. Where can I find the antifreeze I need and which one would you recommend? Be great if you can mention why you recommend it. Not sure if there is a difference in the different types of coolant.

You mean you removed the cap off the coolant bottle under the seat or similar?

If so there will be a coolant level mark on it for 'normal' as it should not be topped to the top (hot coolant expands).

if it was the radiator cap you removed and it was empty then yep - needs filling.

Bike shops sell premixed coolant in handy 1l packs. Take it to your local dealer and tell them you are a newbie and can they show you where to check the coolant level - if it needs more they will sell you a bottle. There should be no charge for them to show you where to check this.

The cap reads Coolant and yes I removed the cap to check the coolant level. Closed the cap after I had a quick look at it.

Ok, SMOKEU suggest that the coolant level should overflow unless I misunderstood.

I would have thought the radiator would be under the headstock.

And the reason for the missing coolant investigated.
If it wasn't for a concise set of rules, we might have to resort to common sense!
