And because he was in a vehicle with all the windows wound up and quite probably his stereo on, and because I was beside him and my horn was well below him and on the other side of my bike the odds are he wouldn't have heard my horn. Even if he had, his immediate reaction would probably have been to look in his rear vision mirror when I wanted him to IMMEDIATELY stop what he was doing, not look around and then wonder what the bump was as he hit me. I didn't have time to fuck around and be polite and because I hate crashing I made the (correct) decision to attract his attention immediately in a way that left him in no doubt that I was beside him and about to be under him.

And maybe it would be a good idea if more car drivers learned that motorcyclists are not people to fuck with. I get sick of the softcock attitude where we have to be constantly apologising for riding bikes and coming second to every other road user, if people want to put me in danger then they can't expect me to wring my hands and whimper.
Heh totally with you on this one, I thumped a car once, I was pillion, and my rider didn't see her crossing over into our lane as we turned right, as we were slightly ahead, and when I banged on her car, her passenger just stared at me, I am afraid she got the finger from me that day... and why would she cross into a left lane before she is turning right off a right hand lane.

Loud and scary on a bike suits me fine, even at 5ft 2.. .mind you I often have loud & 6ft behind me.
