A Christmas message from Fatt Max...again...

Well people, this is becoming a bit of a tradition in the Fatt Household, just like drinking piss, eating pies and farting loudly.

This will be my third Christmas message to all you lovely KB folk and once again I look forward to the piss taking, ribbing and general good humour that is the biking community I have come to love, respect and dribble over in my special dark place under the stairs

It is fair to say that 2010 has been a rough, tough and difficult year for many people, certainly a lot of my good friends on KB have had their share of shite to deal with and will be looking forward to arseholing 2010 out the back door.

For me personally, a certain period of 2010 has been the worst I have ever known, certainly in the 13 years I have been privileged to live in this great country.

Death and illness in the family in the UK, domestic strife, a bout of depression, a bike accident, getting done up like a kipper by my bastard ex employers and plenty of other aggro that by the time June rolled around, I had convinced myself that the next stage was for me to exit stage left, one way or another.

But that is all very much behind me now. The support of my amazing wife, a great son and a renewed faith in myself as a person changed all that. And it goes without saying that the KB community helped me through it as well. It still gets me every time when I think of the phone calls, emails and text messages I received from KB’ers when I was at my lowest who kept me going and kept me smiling.

You all know who you are and I owe you all a debt of gratitude that I can never repay, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

On the up side, I backed myself to walk 100kms and raise money for OXFAM during the trailwalk in April. I released ‘Blooze Yeah’ my first real album and played some gigs in support of Blue September which was great fun. Musically doors have started to open and I am taking as many opportunites as I can to further that.

My son is growing up fast and with that is a sense of humour and talent that makes me so proud. He is a great kid and his school report for the year praises him for being simply a nice fella. Mrs Max, well, mate, I love ya. You are my rock, you keep me balanced and focused. After all was said and done we are still here terrorising our neighbours and supermarket checkouts. Thanks hun, you know the rest.

Then there is the privilege and honour of being a founder member of MAG, and the friendships I have been so lucky to nurture as a result. The trip to Taupo wil remain engrained in my mind for ever. Thanks you guys for making me laugh so hard my jaw was aching for a week after.

I have had the pleasure of meeting more and more KB’ers and have enjoyed all of your company. Your wise words, humour, passion and expertise has kept me smiling and, in some cases, kept me on the road.

We are lucky as bikers to have such a strong and loyal community. We may not agree all of the time but we are united in our love of biking, that’s all we need.

I am looking forward to 2011, There is lots happening on the biking , music and family front. I look forward to sharing more quality time on the site and with you all in person.

It is true to say that in some respects, KB’ers saved this fat bastards life, and I can only thank and love you all for that.

So, please please please take care over the holidays. I wish you and all your families and friends a safe and happy Christmas and New Year. Take it easy out there and look after each other.

    Thanks again, love you all

Fatt, Mrs & Mini Max xxxxx

Good on you, ya fat bastard

You are an awesome dude to have around these forums, always good for an interesting post and/or a bit of a laugh. Nice to have someone else to yarn about football with as well!

    All the best for 2011!

Ahhh the Taupo trip... Has to be the single best moment of my year! Glad to have shared that with you Maxxy, and everyone else!

Certainly had my own ups and downs, but the support of good friends helped me through. It's amazing how the one text made me laugh at exactly the time I needed it!

I'll definitely be returning for more shenanigans next year - in fact I can't wait!

Merry Xmas and Happy New Years to all you buggers out there!

    Good on yer Mark.

Yeah, 2010's been a regular mare of a year all right. I'm pretty much ready to wave goodbye to the first decade of the 21st century now. Let's hope the next decade is sooo much better for all of us.

Have a great Chrissie and see you on the other side... (the shiny one of course).
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

    What can one say?
They say that inside every fat man is a miserable skinny bastard just screaming to be let out. Something tells me that you just fed yours enough pies that he gave up and joined you.
FM - you are one of nature's good cunts.
You and yours have a great Xmas, too.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

cheers for that Skinny White Boy....you've been a wonderful friend to the woman you've never met. It's been great conversing with you and I so love your humour (you're not bad yourself).

Wishing you and yours a fantastic time over the holiday period, Christmas is for happiness and families.

All the very best for 2011 and like you, I'll be glad to see the end of this year, there's been more heartache in one year than I'd had in the preceeding 43!!!
But, on a good note... my children are all happy and healthy, I started my new career and I did get me a bike this year and that bike....I love that bike!

    Love your post Mark.. !!

Was a shame I didn't have time to come say a quick hi while I was up here in Auckland, but there is always next time, and believe me, there will be plenty more road trips up this way.

You are very right in saying 2010 has presented many challenges for many members on here, in many different ways. My 2010 too presented some unwanted challenges, but with all honestly, it's this incredible biking community that has gotten me through in every single way...

It was a biker friend that made me realise in the first place that I had to do something to change my situation (thank you, you are the only person I would have listened to and you know who you are), it was my biking mates that keep me giggling and laughing, and trying to see past it all, and it was another biker friend that can take full credit for my fantastic living situation now (once again, you too know who you are). What a wonderful community I have stumbled across.

Bring on 2011 - is going to be a truely exceptional year!

Merry Christmas to you all - especially to those of you nearest and dearest to me and my heart - you make me a very happy person indeed.

13 years aye? not 12 years like the last tiger year?
That belief in yourself you mentioned came to me late in the year too. Without it we are just a candle in the wind and blown away by calamity. Plenty of good times and celebrations ahead. 10+ awesome attitude Mark, love your humour, were your ancestors jesters?

The Year of The Tiger begins on February 14th 2010. Drama, intensity, change and travel will be the keywords for 2010. Unfortunately, world conflicts and disasters tend to feature during Tiger years also, so it won’t be a dull 12 months for anyone. The Year of the Tiger will bring far reaching changes for everyone. New inventions and incredible technological advances have a good chance of occurring. For all of the Chinese horoscope signs, this year is one to be active – seizing opportunities and making the most of our personal and very individual talents. Everything happens quickly and dramatically in a Tiger year – blink and you could miss an important chance of a lifetime!

Let’s take a look below at each animal, their major personality traits and what the prospects are for 2010, the Year of the Tiger.

We have just about done with 2010 though.

Hey FM! Happy Christmas to you and yours too lovely. Been one hell of a roller coaster ride for a few of us this year that is for sure. Time to kick back and celebrate all that is precious to you for the rest of the year, I know I will be giving thanks for my lovely man, my beautiful children and my wonderful friends, nothing else really matters.
