How did you "lose" the keys?

Aren't they the transponder type that are horrendously expensive to replace?

Well if you get from a dealer it would be a good few hundred for sure, otherwise it's an ebay or wreckers job. The alternative would be to bypass the HISS. Neither of which i have the time or money for, hence the price.

FYI to potential buyers - new HISS transponder / keys are NOT cheap from the honda dealership, and it's almost impossible to find them second hand.

I can't get through to any Honda dealers right now as it's holiday. Do you happen to know how much they are roughly?

Thanks mate didn't know USA models come without HISS. It's a bit of a nuisance system really since nothing but grounding your bike to something solid will deter thieves!

I'm riding out to the spot where I think the keys are now- only it's 300km away. If i find em the price will go up to $6700.

Need a vehicle for work and have already bought something else so this will be up for sale regardless of if I find them or not.

that's a good option but fitting the loom will take me a few full days of work I'm sure. Wouldn't the whole bike have to come apart to do that?

I can't remember if you need to change the whole loom or just the ECU?.
The key i had cut and recoded for my old Cb900 was $30,pretty cheap.

The Last price i saw for a complete new ECU and keys from Honda was $1300 odd...

It pays to keep ya spare key safe and secure..

Didn't I say missing keys? Stop dreaming mate, I've lost the keys to it.

Working on a new set. Few options but all rather expensive.

If anyone's interested they'll give me a text on the number provided. No keyboard warriors thanks.
