    YAY
    Amen to that !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

+1, I ditched Kasperksy and its god awful resource hogging POS "administration suite" and got Avast Pro SBS suite, no more sloth like Kaspersky database updater and blacklist saga shite. Wouldn't touch Kaspersky again.

For some reason my computer boots quite quickly, even with a 7200RPM drive and AVG installed. Now that AVG is gone I haven't really noticed any difference.

Didn't affect everyone, but there is a large body of documentation on the Internet about long startup times on Windows 7 PCs running Free AVG.

Removing AVG can also be difficult. Which makes running some of our virus removal tools interesting as they isist on having sole access to the infected machine.

Oh and just for a giggle, we are actually AVG agents and I wont sell it. Not even to customers I don't like.

Thats like filling your petrol tank with water, Crap cleaner is in no way capable of "picking up" spyware.

Personally I run Avast, I did run MSE for awhile but wasn't overly fussed.

I use spybot, mainly for the tools under advanced, if I'm doing a scan then its always used in conjunction with another similar app like Malwarebytes Anti-Malware, and Hijackthis.

If I were to recommend an Anti-virus then it would be NOD32.

I've noticed that MSE is very slow to scan. It takes about 7 hours to scan my whole system, even when I changed the settings in it to allow it to use more CPU power in order to get the scan done faster. With it scanning I'm using 70% CPU load. It would also be good if it was a real multi threadded app, allowing a dedicated CPU core or 3 to do the scan while the other core(s) could be used for other apps.

AVG was good once, but it's just bloatware now. Kick it to the curb. MSE seems to be working out well, no reason not to use it over everything else so far. Computer scans at 5 in the morning, so no idea how long it takes.
