    FS: 1997 Honda VTR1000

1997 Honda VTR1000 Firestorm. The bike has been ridden almost daily and hasn't missed a beat. Bodywork has a few minor knicks and scratches as to be expected for its age.

    Odometer: 79,500km (will slowly increase)
    Rego: 24/02/2011
    WoF: 03/04/2011

The bike comes with two sets of stock mufflers, one set has been debaffled and the outlet pipe size has been increased. Produces a nice rumble without being too loud. Also comes with a ventura pack rack and Haynes workshop manual.

    Have replaced the following:

    -Chain and sprockets @ 75,000km
-Front brake disc rotors @ 76,000km
    -Front brake pads @ 76,000km
-Metzeler Z6 front tyre @ 76,000km (rear tyre is also a Z6, plenty of tread remaining)
-Manual cam chain tensioners @ 78,500km

The engine oil and filter has been changed every 5000km and the chain cleaned and lubed every 500-1000km.

Have kept all the receipts and a record of everything - even petrol. I've been getting 12-13km/L around town and up to 18km/L on the open road.

Inspections welcome, no test rides unless you bring the asking price in cash - my insurance only covers me. I'd be happy to ride it alongside you / up and down the street or something.

More photos will be up soon.

Feel free to contact me for more information: 021-765456

    Cheers
