So... we're in for a ride somewhere, bike dependent. If no bike, no rally
Do what thunder has done, and if the bikes ridable get it back till they are ready to sort it... or it could well be a while be fore you see it again.

If all else fails, LA can use my spare bike if she's keen, or probably more correctly if she's game

So what's the plan, leaving where and when, lunch somewhere on the way?

Was having vague thoughts about a late start, lunch in kaikoura and then the inland road, but anything other than straight there is good....

Great wee rally and a mint ride up and down to it.
Now that the rally is getting bigger and Id say if it stays there it will, more organising will be needed, but what there was, was good however Tui, DB and Spaights (sweet, flat yuk) are the same beer in different coloured cans, Stinie, Hinie eg would be sweet as it would save me having to head out to get some drinkable brew.
NEVERDEAD... IMO their cover songs stank but then they dont usually do them Damo the lead writes there music and when played by them I reckon was great shit... how ever those on the piss ofcourse want shit they know and can dance (stumble) to and ya wont get that from a band like neverdead.

Lessons will be learnt, I can assure all of that, the band for next year will be a rocker, being a sedate Retreat with a mellow band was not appreciated by all, BUT the venue is great, not a complaint about that, food will be looked at and improved. The booze, I hate to say (and only because I drink Heineken me self) will add some other more exotic brands, just makes a bit of a mess when pricing it because its more expensive to buy. But tell me 2 cans of the beer we had for $5?? Heinekin and Steinlager if we could do it would have to be 2 for $6/7. Any comments?
Hopefully next year an earthquake won't f*$k it up, we lost our marques, generators and curtain sider truck for band, but we were lucky that the weather was nice to us.

I'm pretty sure it was him that greeted me at the gate when I came back in at about 10pm after my little solo jaunt.

Great weekend for riding and what I saw of the rally was good, great site.
