Barry Sheene would be turning in his grave
Who the fuck is Barry Sheene, some rock star who could ride good?
What about Joey Dunlop who was just as happy on his 125 as he was on his superbike! He'll be hoping for reincarnation to get on one of these

Its evolution seriously I have been doing abit of motox lately yesterday I was riding a YZ125 it was great but then I rode a CRF250 and that was even better alot nicer to ride alot more useable power etc

I can see the same happening in Moto3 these prototype race engines they will make will most likely be based on a CRF250 engine (no differnt than the RS125 Honda being orignally a CR125 engine)

These bikes will be the way of the future and the rebuilds are not like people make out I havent had to do anything to my 450 in 7 months of owning it bar oil changes.

Sadly 2 strokes are at there end most companys dont want to invest in development of them any more so we have to go with the flow and I think the 250 will be great we will adapt to them
Blindspott are back as Blacklist check them out

Yeah, yeah, heard all the anti shit before....most of you whingers are too young to remember unrestricted 125's - twins and fours - real race machinery not converted bloody motocrossers...the world was going to end when the class was limited to singles and 6 speeds. Didn't then, won't now.

Once some real purpose designed 250 singles come through the old race & lap records will go - you're looking at more than 50hp at the back wheel fairly easily.

I can't see any reason why the racing won't be as close as it is now - and we watch it for the close racing don't we ?

Now you're talking! Joey was the man. The greatest ever on dangerous fast circuits where the other world leaders, in later years, would not ride. Dundrod and IOM were once MotoGP tracks! (Was not called MotoGP then - just World Championship GP).

I watched the world's greatest at Dundrod in Ireland when I was just a kid: Hailwood, Ivy, Read, Redman, Hocking, Bryans (Irish works rider) etc. 2-strokes or 4-strokes? It's all racing - what is more exciting than that? Oh, I am a Sheene fan too - Barry was just magic on the track and wonderful for the sport. I did see the 250 six Honda at Dundrod . Yes, that was a 4-stroke. Ivy and Read on 125 Yamahas lapping everyone? Saw them too at Dundrod! They were on 4-cylinder 125cc 2-strokes with at least 12 gears. All awesome . I miss that extreme engineering today. The racing today is better - watch Moto2 2010! (I subscribe to MotoGP videos - you can watch all practice sessions and races "live" or when it suits you. You also have a great history of races to watch - not cheap but neither is golf nor other stuff people do).

Who would'nt! No half arsed GP fan would.

But was'nt spiralling costs the original reason that the 4 cyl 500's,2 cyl 250,single cyl 125 rules were brought in?
And here we go again with a second 'production' based GP class in the name of progress which both would'nt even get a look-in if two strokes were allowed to compete.

If it does'nt sound like GP racing and does'nt look like GP racing then what have you got?

I'll give you a hint,a bloody half arsed GP Championship.
(bring on the WCM replica's next year)

He was pullin ya chain mate

But I agree, sounds hideous seem to make a fair pace though. Much rather hear a bunch of developed 2-strokes on song!
