    K7 GSXR750 suspension set up?

anyone have good tools for adjusting rear suspension?
me and cowboyz looked over my suspension settings yesterday (thanks robert taylor for the info! ) and found it was just out of factory settings for being too hard.

we reckon the previous owner must have been a hefty bloke unlike my 75kg's.
i dont find the front suspension bad at all, only the rear which is all over the place around corners! which isnt very confidence inspiring on a new bike.

we attempted to adjust the rear, but the "nut thingys" were just too hard to adjust with our measly suspension wrench. also noticed whilst trying to adjust someone else had fucked with it before because there were marks on it.
I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness.

Get yourself a piece of 25mm x 12mm aluminium bar, about 750mm long.
Then just hook in to one of the notches in the locking ring with one end of the bar, and belt the other end with a hammer. Once you have the locking ring loose, it's an easy job using the above method on the retaining ring to adjust the spring preload

Remember there are TWO rings... one locks the other.

You have to hit it HARD!

You bought the bike at Freedom Suzuki?
I think I may have seen you in the shop the next morning.
Go see them and get them to help you... they're a good bunch!

Those lockrings can be nasty to both unlock and turn. Make sure you prelubricate the threads with some WD40 / CRC or similiar and that also they are clean of grit and road grime.
Like Pussy said you will have to be brutal to initially unlock them. People tend to beat on the lockring too much to lock everything into place when in reality all they need is something just a little more aggressive than a ''nip''. Also if there is any way you can support the bike so there is less load on the shock ( rear wheel in air ) that will also make a surprising difference to the effort required to move the preload adjust ring.
The front end can be WAY better with a simple revlave we do to the rebound stack. The best youve ridden is the best you know!
