Any PA gurus here?

I could do with somehelp with me pa system. were in the middle of cionverting from an active pa to a more powerful passive rig. using whafedale pro powered 2x15 plus horn for mid/ tops and passive 18 inch subs with a power amp. the wharfdale cabs are set on mic input but we are now getting lots of hiss from the desk which has just been serviced.

its a behringer sl 24 4 2 fx pro

desk - crossover - lf outs to bass power amp to passive subs

hf out to mic inputs on powered mid/top cabs.

im wondering if the top cabs should be switched to line input?

any help appreciated please

Short answer, yes - provided you truely mean "line level input".

post a picture of the input connections to the speakers.

The hiss will most likely be all of the noise being amplified by about 60db due to using the mic input.
