    Loose helmet

The HJC helmet I have is a bit of a loose fit on my head, does anyone here know of a cheap way to make it fit better without buying a new helmet? I've tightened the straps up but it hasn't solved the problem much.

    Try a balaclava.

    Go to a sports shop ... buy a sports balaclava ... (about $10) ... sorted ...

solves a few "draught" issues in the helmet too ...

I thought about a balaclava, although it's a bit hot in summer for that kind of thing.

Silk ones are a bit dearer .... but will do the same job.

The sports (thermal ones) are not that thick ...

    perhaps a NEW helmet ...

Good for doing a sly bank job.

Is there any extra padding I can put in the helmet, or is that just not worth it? I don't think I can grow a bigger head.

    I recommend a new helmet...if you can't grow a bigger head.

Was wearing a slightly sloppy helmet when I crashed bucket racing a while back...my head should have been fine given the knock it actually took but that was the worst off part of me in the end...would've helped considerably if my head hadn't rattled around inside the shell of my helmet.

ive got an HJC open facer that fit fine when i got it, but after a haircut it was much looser. i wear a beanie under it and that pads it out nicely. just means its a bitch if the beanie ever gets misplaced, lol.

I'd hate to see what your face would look like if your head hits the ground. Open facers are a big no no if you value your safety.

Then all I need is a few wires sticking out of my jacket and I'll be set.

What about some new cheek pads? In a larger (thicker?) size than factory
