    Wrap your head in glad wrap, put your helmet on, and pump half a can of expanding foam into the helmet......

    ive already crashed in an open facer. my legs took all the hit, and they were the best protected. my upper body didnt get a scratch. i believe that the brain automatically takes note of the most vulnerable spots and protects them, dunno how or why. i dont think my head hit the ground once until i actually stopped rolling.
    i remember seeing that i was going to hit the car and my last concious thought was to jump on impact. i didnt actively think again until i landed, stopped rolling and thought i better get out of the road, lol.
