    Summer jacket

    Hello,

I'm looking at buying a summer jacket as my current one (Levior - textile) is extremely hot with all the lining removed.
Leather would be preferred but I don't think it will keep me cool, rather the opposite. I don't want it to be weather proof or anything as I'll use it only when it's dry and hot.
Safety must not be compromised so I want all the bells and whistles at elbows and shoulders. I already have a back protector so protection at the back can be skipped.

    Any recommendations please?

    Thanks.

    What size are you?

I have a Qmoto Black Rock jacket I am looking to sell sometime soon. Size 40. Look it up on Quasi's site.

I have a DriMesh jacket. Just the duck's nuts for summer riding. Armour in the right places, mesh in the front. PM Katman, he still has some but not sure what sizes, and hit him up for a "special" price.

Thanks for the offer but I'd like to try it before I buy.
About the size, I have no idea, possibly a small to medium.

Trumpy, any idea is Katman is based in Auckland? He doesn't say in his profile.

    Thanks.

    Well...

... I'm currently based in Melbourne (but from Wgtn) and ended up with one of these:

An RST Pro Series Ventilator II. Has been awesome for the weather over here. It's a 3 season jacket (no good for NZ winters!) and has the outer (with armour in elbows, shoulders and back) and waterproof liner (have only tested in a light shower) along with a quilted liner. All seems to work a treat so far (have only had it a few months).

Only downer is I'm not sure that they're available in NZ but worth a look-see.

Those jackets are distributed here by Nationwide Accessories although they're out of stock at the moment.

Interestingly, their RRP here is 350 NZ$ compared to the Aussies price of 300 A$.

    $300A converts to almost $400NZ.

It appears that not everything is cheaper overseas.

RST is a good option, I bought one of these http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Mo...-345780971.htm from Ericksens in Bayview (Napier) and the perforated sections vent very well (the matching pants don't have any vents however)

Heaps of products are cheaper here than in Oz. Especially Dri-rider gear!
