Humans don't.
The need for blood is constant. In New Zealand, 150,000 whole blood units will need to be donated in the next 12 months to meet clinical needs.
That means it is time to avail yourself to the draining apparatus and do a good deed for your fellow man. Make like a Vampire Finch, Candiru Fish or Mosquito and come along to the blood centre and be hooked up to a machine.

Why: For the chocolate bikkies. For the bragging rights.
Because, let's face it, you are young and healthy and should count yourself lucky that you are not a flatworm...
