    Dark Tower movies

Might be old news, but looks like its going to be happening...

Ron Howard directing, with Javier Bardem as Roland (the bad guy from no country for old men)

Meh, I only read one of the books in the series, I thought it was crap.

Far too much writing for far too few ideas.

    Probably ignore the movie.

I have a suspicion that people who like the books were attracted to it by the author rather then the setting and don't have much clue as to how good the genre can be.

Man, if I was as rich as Ron Howard I'd have have me a hair transplant.

hell, I'd have a warehouse containing genetically altered hair growing slaves growing perfect lush hair just for the transplant.

1.All those proving my theory to be false, fuck off It was an awesome train of thought until you decided to blow it to pieces.

    2. When the super being Ron Howard arrived on earth he tapped into the thoughts of mankind and upon identifying the most favored son in the human condition he modeled his ethereal form on Ritchie Cunningham, he just fucked up the hair.

    3.Honda riders are still gay.

Heard of the books but never read them. Won't spoil the movie by reading them now though

Oh but you need to. Theres far too much in the books to make it into one movie (bit like LOTR)

7 novels into 3 films? That's a lot of condensing considering the stories are so different. Just finished #5 Wolves of the Calla.

They should make movies for Arthur C Clarke (Rendezvous with Rama) or H P Lovecraft's books as well, none of this Twilight horse shit.

Didn't read those either. Started on the first book and got bored with 3 page descriptions of the scenery followed by 2 sentences of what's actually happening.

The Rana books would be cool. You're right on the other point too, Twilight definitely is horse shit.
