Adios amigo - I won't be at your funeral today. Figure to be keep my memories of you on a bike with a big smile on your face.
Not sure if he is a KiwiBiker - but figured someone on here would know him.

It took me a while to find this thread, or indeed even find out he had passed. I figured I would post my comments though. I had the honour of teaching Phil to ride for the first time, he had just bought his first bike (iirc 87 suzuki rgv250) and being the confident dude he was - jumped straight on and we rode all around auckland city that first day he was learning. He was an exceptionally talented rider as with anything he applied himself to.
Had not seen him in many years and is a great shock to me, will greatly miss the opportunity of catching up with him again.
Cheers inst, I am sure he would have appreciated the kind comments.
When I last talked to him he was fighting a great many internal demons. It is a great relief he won't have to fight those any-more.
About 6 months prior he had wrecked his GSXR. Sounds like it would have given him peace of mind if he had kept on riding (and had more riding friends like you).
