Screw the trans Tasman thing. Would be better to focus on a Proper National level Race. Proper GP, With Proper Length. 30mins+. Taupo or Ruapuna B. Or Both. 2 GPs winner take all (what ever that my be).

Not that I'm fast enough to even qualify to ride in it... maybe we can have a B Grade fun GP also, purely to make entry fee cheaper...

Well enough of this pie in the sky bucketers are going to travel heaps sort of carry on.

I've changed the master cylinder of my 50 & now the brake has some modulation. It was rather on/off & was giving me gyp with not enough brakes or too much.

    Defiantly the place to start.

Has there been a national TT?

What the fuck is a TT and GP, just one race that is nominated prior as the one that counts?

Yeah I used to be the most travelled bucketer easily. Auckland & Chch meetings from Wgtn & I'd be the only traveller most times. Occasionally ther'd be an event where there was a big push.

They used to use it but I think they said it became to expensive to hire

yeah, minefield pricing politics. Maybe worth a revisit if a club day on main track. Made a surprisingly good bucket track.

Yep, 100% agree and it is possible... I did a track-day in about Nov last year on the extension/back track only, it was 'piggy-backing' off a Honda(?) riders day on main track. It was organised by the motard guys getting in a bit of practice prior to Tri-Series...

It would be nice to have something more in the middle of the country. Maybe Mr Skunk has the inside scoop? Could maybe run it through the Vic club. Dun no.

    1.5km

$1000 per day (Hire cost for driver training)... maybe we something could be down with Vic club ???? as full track hire = $2800 (not sure what weekend prices would be though).

It use to be great fun racing the buckets around there, during the suzuki winter series on the main track..

Maybe a few of us manawatu people could help out sorting a meeting out in conjuction with VIC??

Had a day playing around the track with 3 or 4 other buckets late last year during a PMCC track day, was fun as something different to the normal kart track.
