I know of a man in jail that did terrible things to young boys, and he has been jailed twice for it - he gets out and then he reoffends, he targets young boys in a solo parent situation. He is from my area - I know his name and I know his face. When he gets out next year, I will be paying attention. If I ever see him, God help him (because no one else will) People like this cannot reform as there is something terribly wrong with them in their head. Pedophiles and people who torture children and imprison them to be used as sex slaves do not have a place in society.

If another child got harmed by this man, and I had information that if acted on could have prevented it but I did nothing, I couldn't live with myself.

I don't have any information on this man that isn't already public information. The problem is that if someone serves their time, then they get released. I know it is wrong - the tale I was told about what this guy did horrified me, and I know one of his victims.
If I ever saw him on the street, I would probably run him over.
I am sure that someone like me, with no prior convictions could get away with killing a sick bastard like this. I would probably get home detention.

Hawke's Bay Today has a regular feature where EVERY ONE convicted of Drink Driving is named and their home town is also named.

A society has some basic rules. Once you break these you have lost your right to be part of this society. I don't really give a shit what then happens to you. But you should not be allowed back. And I also think that if you are allowed back and you once again offend, not only you but also the ones who decided to allow you back should be held accountable!

I agree with the THEORY of a thread like this, one where you could name people, who were PROVEN guilty of such things, however there is a problem.
firstly, getting the right person, not hard you say? BULLSHIT.
I have a good friend whose name is the same as mine, both first and last names, and spelt the same way. we both ride motorcycles. we both live in the same area, of the same city. also, our addresses are pretty similar, his address is 444 xxxxxxxx road/street/drive, and my address is 44 xxxxxx road/street/drive.
If you dont beleive me, there are several other members on here who are friends with me, AND the other guy, who will confrim it, so yeah, pretty fucking hard to assure you have the right person. Oh, and we are within about 4 years of age of each other too.

second issue I have with a thread like this, is the aggressive, lynch mob type response you see when you wind a bunch of guys up about something. consideration and thought goes out the window. sure, in your mind, going and bashing a guy for doing something is all fine and dandy, but there a problem with 'Im going to do xxxxx, because this person did something to me'. that problem is everybody having that attitude, what happens then? your 15 year old daughter cuts off someone in traffic accidentally while learning to drive, and some cunt slits her throat for it. vigilante justice is appealing at times, but it just doesnt work, and neither does a thread like this, because of the hysteria it creates.

Like I said, Id support a thread like this if it could be purely factual, pure, gaurantee no false accusations, or mistaken identities etc, however based on the way this thread is going, I would like to see it be deleted, and I would think its lifespan will prove to be relatively short.

True - there is someone with the same name as me and a very similar birth date (same year) living in the same suburb - I discovered this at the gym we both go to.

As for forming a posse - I feel that child molesters are fair game - there is no excuse for that crime.
