To the wankers who took it, if I could have just 10 minutes in a dark room alone with you.....

oh fuck, wait a minute... that's how I lost it in the first place
Wankers? As in 'plural'? And one other thing, guys are normally referred to as 'wankers', not girls. Anything else you want to tell us, you've painted a pretty scary image already.

This is a GBR thread, not a RNR thread. Clean it out if you like, we only need posts naming people convicted of crimes related to bike thefts.

If he wasn't convicted for stealing it, converting it, or handling it in some way, you're in the wrong place man.

No, Ive NEVER stolen, and id never steal a bike. Id steal someones woman from him, but not his fuckin bike!! But thats exactly the issue, what if some guy and his mates turn up on my doorstep cos someone with a similar name stole their bike/car/gay-sex-toy collection?
I think people also forget about the innocent parties, you go bash some dude up for it, what about kids or a missus being present who freak out, go damage their car, and the kids dont get fed, because mum cant get to work to earn.... its great in theory, and Id sure like to smack the bastards around who steal bikes, but unless I catch someone physically in the act, ill leave that as an 'I wish"

No, but what I AM saying, is that if you set a precedent that says 'its fine to go ahead and get your own justice', then others will do the same. theres a reason we have the cops. they may not always work to our satisfaction, but when you decide to go get revenge, you only start a war. it never ends with a single payback. it escalates, and sooner or later, someone innocent gets fucked over in the crossfire.

and it all starts with people on here, hiding behind a screen name.

Am I the only person who sees the Irony? ultimately annonymous people on a forum, hiding behind a nom de plume, naming and shaming other people? fuck sakes!!

Tim totally agree with you... and like you "I wish" but unless I physically caught them doing it, that's all I can do... but gawd help any one that gets caught red handed.

But the real question is, while some people have been named, have they actually been shamed?
Shame is an emotion or feeling, that only we can put upon ourselves.
If these people chose to steal a bike (or whatever) perhaps other people knowing that, dosent in fact make them feel ashamed. It may actually make them feel proud & somewhat heroic.
The fact is, whatever they feel, they should have & may well have weighed up the consequences before commiting their special crime, which should include being found out & named.
Either way, they dont deserve any respect, as by commiting theft, they have shown no respect.
Should victims hide under a rock & be too afraid to say, "hey, Joe Bloggs the cunt flogged my gear"?
