I thought that was a new thing (having a highly modified bike that looks nothing like it did on the showroom floor)
    Nice comment.

special frame sort of; it still had the rear spline just with extra bracing.
rg50 front end (forks & wheel, 18" AR rear), mt125 fairings, TF100 motor and it did have a fresh coat of paint...
it was one of a pair, other had an AR50 motor.

unfortunately, this bike got ripped in half after it was hit following a highside down in Wellington; very sad day...

Yeah we had a bit of a cuddle on the ground, but it's alright, we had a couple of bikes layered in between us so there was no risk of babies.

1986 Silverstream Kart track (near Dunedin) Red Honda 90 complete with trials tyres.
2 pairs of jeans, 2 woolly jerseys and 2 sets overalls. Motox boots, blue metaflake open faced helment. It did a lot of damage (to the pocket), as I've not stopped racing since!
Noel Mc Cutcheon was the man to beat. A few years later when his son Mike was doing the nats (250 proddy), he thought he'd join in by riding F3. He got 3rd, aged about 60 I think. People reckon that 3rd plug lead on the GPZ 500 (twin) went to his pacemaker
About '88 I built a homebrew bike with aluminium frame SL 125 motor with a twin cam 4 valve VT250 head on it. I still have it, guess it qualifies for classics....

Went to race it at a esplanade Palmerston North; but as it was a road circuit I wasn't allowed as I didn't have (to young) my road licence...

First race ended up being out on Ohakea base. Dad was chuffed he could buy cheap beer afterwards.
