    Best Accordion Players

All this shit about drummers and guitar players, time to appreciate the real musicians:

    Rob Thompson
    James Kirk
    John Jeski
    Timo Kotipelto

and those are just a few, I'm sure

What a load of bullshit, ignore me

Anyone who actually knows the names of acordian players should be treated with instant suspicion, and large quantities of valium.
Can I believe the magic of your size... (The Shirelles)

It's all the sex, drugs, alcohol and Death Metal I had in primary school that has made me this way

The accordian is the soul of Tango. Astor Piazzolla is the undisputed king of this genre. Superb!

Almost ,Astor used the bandoneón which is close to an Accordian and some would argue than Astor's music is modern Tango. Carlos Gardel's Por Una Cabeza's seems to be the Tango anthem (Scent of a Woman movie's Tango seen).
Two greatest past times , Motorcycling and Tango with the woman you love !

Best accordian player currently in my opinon.
    Eddie Hession from Zum.

Art Van Dam is pretty darn impressive.

Played in an Piano Accordion Jazz trio once upn a time. Magnificent stuff. John Shollack and Tony Dannon spring to mind too.

You either like music or you don't. Deconstructing and compartmentalising it just restricts your ultimate enjoyment. Open your mind - if you dare.

I like music plenty, it's what I breathe and eat. And drink. And snort. And smoke.

It's just... there's a certain stigma around accordions that make me rather aprehensive...

Bruce Hornsby plays the acordian in some rockin' Bonnie Rait toons.
he also get's my vote for the 'Best Piano Solo: The Valley Road' when that thread comes up too.
I've got a few gems for favourite 'left handed double neck guitarists in bands with all girl road crews' that'll have jim farked as well.

Caution , the following links isn't suitable for pop fans or metaliers , but probably ok for hip hoppers because they steal samples from every other style
