Back riding again after 20 years. I did the Snowy ride in Oz with a friend in Sydney in 2009 and 2010 and finally decided to get my own bike again. Bought a 2006 ZZR1200 about a month ago and am gradually getting back into the groove again. Surprising how it comes back to you, but the ZZR is much quicker than anything that I'd ridden before. And more fun!
Can't help noticing that a lot has changed in 20 years. Believe it or not, I'd say that car drivers have improved - no dramas yet, and a surprising number pull over as you come up behind them.
And to the dirt bike rider who decided to race me at a set of lights on the Shore before Christmas - good luck mate, I think you'll need it.
