Custom made Crash Bars for the BMW F650 GS Dakar.
Fabricated by Kapiti Precision Engineering, these bars have been specifically designed and built to:
- withstand a hard fall
- keep the engine and fairings off the ground
- minimise rider intrusion whilst riding or during a crash
- not to catch/dig into soft ground
- prevent the bike form flipping over in a crash
These bars mount directly to the frame and engine mounts at 4 points to provide maximum strength, with welds joined at 360 degrees of the tubing to prevent twisting and weld fracturing.
These bars will ensure that should the worst thing happen, the bike can still be ridden home.
