    Red face Introductions

    Hello Ladies!
I'm a total newb who as of Friday just purchased my first bike after a chaotic and at times miffing month long search. I settled on an 09 Hyo-bag GV 250, which gets delivered Thurs. I'm out South Aukz ways btw. I just wanted to intro myself and make a shout out, hope to see yáll out there at some point esp fellow L-Riders...maybe on SASS rides or something. Abso stoked and immensely grateful to have this resource and community for help. Cheers!

    Update on the bike sitch

Hey thur ladies...and the lurking deviant male ;-) ...just thought i'd pop in x amount of months down the track to update yaz...after cracking my full back in Nov, i have decided what bike is going to be the next lady mover...am going for an HD XL1200 Custom, i'm a Trumpy fan-but have turned to the dark side, so hopefully will be able to report on a new acquisition in the upcoming months once i have myself sorted. Kookie-Scorpios are lovely compact lady movers, a friend of mine has one...reminiscent of a transformer... nice choice.

you will enjoy having a HD Sporty - I love mine - so much fun! I got mine from KTL and Dave is a great guy to deal with - they have moved to the North Shore now. Compared to another Harley shop I visited, Dave at KTL is very helpful, I would recommend vising their shop.

    Wink Update

Hey y'all, just an update...i am now the owner of a yellow XL1200C HD Sporty (thanks to W.M in wellywood)...first real ride this evening and am just getting used to the quirks and noise..mellow yellow meets crazy canary! Raise a few eye brows with my frilly pink overdress blowing in the breeze, but like the yellow on my bike, like a ray of sunshine/pretty freesia. So if you see me pootling around south aukz and the inner city, give us a toot. Hello Kitty, lets ride when you have the time. Keen to hear from other ladies who are into the initial stages of acquiring their first harley or the recollections of others about their first HD.

ps. I move pretty fast when i want something, and i wanted this bad...but will be taking baby steps til i get familiar with my wee beasty.

I always have the time to ride Take it easy though, because there will be a world of difference between the HD and the Hyosung.
Just PM me when you want to ride.

    Easy does it

Yeah, the little ride time i've had on the 'arley has been an eye opener...very ginger in the transitioning...tentative with the throttle, not used to the instantaneous torque compared to Agent Orange. I need to get the throttle control down on Mellow Yellow, either not enough or too much and am trying to relax (very wary of dropping M.Y). I have massively wide handle bars which take some getting used to. Maha-gonna see how i go for the interim riding M.Y to familiarise myself, and see if that's a goer to Taupo, but Agent Orange may yet ride again on that one, just that i don't want to cause havoc on the Taupo trip (esp as it's a newb ride) and have no idea how it'll go on difficult twisties. Slow and easy for now, but intend to ride like a mofo (in short bursts) tween now and then, learn her quirks and rhythms. And yeap, bright yellow my friend, yellow like a blazing sunflower lol...hehehehe...neon orange to blazing yellow...glorious!
