For what its worth Maggie, when I went from a GN250 to a 600cc Sportsbike, I was a tad ..shall we say, cautious.
All that power (by comparison to what I had) but it didnt take long to settle in...days.
The glow-bug is most welcome, but if the 'arley gets out, then all good.
Like I said earlier...the roads we will be on are wonderful.
Now upload a picture damn it.

As requested...only have a handful of pics as yet, weathers been too poorly to take some good bike porn. But i did get my first minty moments this arvo...was at the local library and started her up, which then set off all the car alarms in the car park (blush blush). Went to pay a bill at the local post shop and pulled into a park, on my left hand side a woman and her kids were getting into the car and one of the little ones said 'hey mum watchout for the lady' and the mum replied-what lady that aint no lady? Ladies don't ride bikes esp Harleys, now get in the car...? apparently i must be either gay or a biker slut, going by the reaction. KRACK UP.

But its funny copping the looks on the motorway and when at the gas station (i had my floral pinky dress on over riding gears), one guy earned a slap from his lady for looking...hahahaha...luvit...the harley effect. Lemme know if you can't pull up the pics.

Looks beautiful! Looks the same as mine but yellow! Just ride as much as you can, and it will all fall into place on one of these rides. The nice big skinny front wheel will let you drop into corners quickly and easily. I found riding on the open road much easier then in traffic until I got used to the vibrations and the twitchiness at slow speeds, which I don't feel or even notice now that I am used to it. Eventually you may get used to people, particularly men, stopping and staring with their mouths open. I have a pink jacket and people are shocked that I am a girl on a Harley.
Just keep your rides relaxed and cruisy til you get used to the extra power and weight.
