    Hampton Downs - 16 Jan

    Awesome day at Hampton yesterday.
I'd been at the end of November and came away a little disappointed in both the bike and my riding.
The bike was a pig to turn and I was riding like crap.

This time I made a few changes which made the day my most enjoyable yet at Hampton.
1 - Stomp grip on the tank. Huge improvement under brakes. Highly recommended.
2 - More pre-load and more compression damping on the back. More rebound damping on the front. Bike was much easier to turn, held it's line better and took a lot less effort to ride.
These two things alone made a big different but the biggest change was item 3 on the list.
3 - Adjust your mental state. I relaxed, I concentrated on looking through the corner, keeping my head in the right position, being smooth on the throttle and brakes, keeping my weight off the bars. All the thing you know you are supposed to do but sometimes forget.

Big thanks to Lee from CSS for his coaching. In a couple of laps I picked up some handy tips and tidied up my lines.

Did anyone get any video ?

I managed to squeeze a couple of sessions in and had a ball. One on DRZ400 tard and one on the Ducati Streetfighter S. Yum yum!

Was pretty warm out there though!
