Asking price is way too steep for used gear.

i brought myself an A* RC1 jacket and apex pants for $1000nzd whilst i was in aus.

but in saying that i did also purchase a new helmet, sidi vortice boots, A* GP-pro gloves
I asked God for a bike, but I know God doesn't work that way. So I stole a bike and asked for forgiveness.

Given that the new price of those two items is around $1650, and the rule of thumb is that used stuff is between 50 & 75% of new value, in theory the set is worth between $800 and $1200 so he's not asking crazy money. But, they are quite small sizes, and unusually the jacket is a smaller size than the pants (most often it's the other way round for most people).
Those jackets are also on special at quite a few dealers as it's an old model, so it would pay to shop around - Cyclespot in Auckland for instance has those jackets for $699 (http://www.depot4motorcycles.co.nz/i...&product_id=58) and I dare say if you are buying pants as well you'd be able to get a package deal.

Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes. After that, who cares? ...He's a mile away and you've got his shoes
