Advertising inside posts

What's the deal with advertising appearing inside a post (and before the signature)?

To me this implies that the poster endorses the product. Between posts is one thing but please don't put ads inside a post.

That I have no problem with. It's when they turn up inside your post without your consent. I may or may not endorse the product. Most of the time I have no opinion and don't like the implication that I do.

He's probably talking about the wonderful Ad Blocker that comes with Firefox.

No, I'm talking about an ad being placed at the bottom of my post just before the signature. I think it's supposed to be after the first post of the page, not inside it.

Ah, Hitcher is saying that with Firefox's adblocker add-on, we're not seeing the ads at all.

Ultimately, the money from the ads helps to pay the bills, which keeps the site free for us to use...

Sorta a like it or lump it situation... but MT or SpankMe would give a final word on it.

Fuck imagine the uproar if say, Quasi posted a thread and had DEPOT4 (for argument sake) inside his first post?

Don't mind the ads. Just don't much like them inside a post. Between, yes, just not inside.
