Finished 4th in MotoGP championship.....gawd, I can't remember when they last finished that high in a single race, let alone championship

Think his ego got away on him

Sort of.
I have spoken with one of his former team managers about him and really it boiled down to him just being one of those people who let the GP circus suck him in.
Too much ego, too much partying, too many girls etc etc.
Remember that he had been a part of the GP circus full time since quite a young age and has never had a real job.

BSB is a good place to rebuild a career though. So maybe he can come back to WSBK.

Be great to see those teeth in the paddock again!!!
