Thumbs up to Mobil Barrys Point Road (Nth Shore, Auckland)

I was very impressed yesterday.

I was at a Mobil service station, and their was a diesel 4WD parked behind me. When the guy took the nozzle out of his vehicle he must have forgotten to release the pump handle, and it pissed diesel out all over his vehicle, and of course onto the ground.

The bit that impressed me was the sole person working inside behind the counter came straight out, and as soon as the 4WD moved off laid down some absorbent pads to soak up the excess diesel, and then cleaned off the service.

We all know that's the right thing to do, but when your the only person working, and have customers waiting, it takes a bit of effort to ask them to wait while you attend to an issue like a spill.

So a big thumbs up to the Mobil service station on Barrys Point Road in Takapuna.
