Sell it for an outrageous profit to a Bucket Racer and go buy something that you can find specs on.

    That's a serious comment too.

I've got a GL145. What do you want to know?
There is SFA on the web about them because they're an unloved orphan that was sold in one english speaking country.

It would probably be too expensive to sell as a bucket racer! I bought it for 1k, info I'd be interested in would be to do with power output etc. more or less anything at all...

IIRC 16hp, not sure about torque. I'm just over 100kg in bike gear, it's good for 120km/h (eventually). I've seen some bullshit figures on trademe for fuel consumption, mine is about 3.5l/100km, based on motorway travelling 75% of the time.

Loncin make a copy of the GL engine, these figures are from that:
    # Power : 11 Kw @ 9500RPM
    # Torque: 10.2 Nm @ 8000RPM

Thanks, it rides great, I'm just preparing it for rereging, is there any tricky parts I should look out for, or is it going to be similar to WOF requirements?

Also is there anywhere I should go/avoid, was thinking of going to VTNZ...but am open to advice!

So far all that has needed fixing is the brake light switch (front), replacing all the bulbs in the instrumentation, adjusting the idle speed. Not too bad for a bike that has been off the road for 10 years.

Still need to fix a dicky hi/lo beam switch

No, there's nothing special to look for. It doesn't need a brake declaration which is a bonus. Looks nice, good luck.

Keep an eye on the oil level and change it often. It doesn't have a filter, only a screen.

Having come from the cage/two stroke scooter world, is often 2000ish kms, or more often?

I've been doing about 2,500 to 3,000km between changes.

Hi/lo beam switch ended out being a circlip that had rotated 90 degrees, love the fixes that are free!

It's in for rereging today...hopefully will be ready to ride this weekend!

Attached is a brochure that I found online at econohonda (zoom in so you can read the text)

Sweet, now I'm road legal! (only took 4 1/2 weeks at VTNZ...) Out of interest, can you get tyres for 18" rims that are a little 'fatter'? At the moment the 2.75 x 18s seem a bit small in the wet

It's not the size that is important. Teehee.
Tread pattern will determine how well water is repelled and therefore how well your tyre/s grip in the wet.
Perhaps you can get Bridgestone BT45s to fit. These are awesome tyres for smaller bikes.

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    .

so with 2.75 x 18 originals I should go for 80/90 or 90/90 profile tyres?

The speedo seems hopelessly optimistic, will I run into any problems going bigger?
