for anyone that knows paul ( he aint a kbr) he is fine, has a big pin in his leg now, the ducati is probably fucked, he cant remember anything about the crash but said they wernt speeding he went off on a gentle left hander

If he doesn't remember the accident then quite possible he had a knock to the head. If so hopefully the docs have explained that (but chances are they haven't, idiots). If so, don't ignore their advice, and don't go rushing back to work at 110% (not physically rushing anyway 'cause he's on crutches no doubt).

he had a scan and there are cracks at the base of his scull also has a black eye, whilst visiting him in hospital he kept repeating things so we feel he has a bit of a head injury as well. His is a experienced rider and the bike a 1000cc duc multistrada was in top condition, not any more though.

Bugger. One of the best things for head injury is rest, take things slow and ease back into things. Conversely it's bad bad bad to push too hard too soon which is the natural inclination especially for blokes Tell him to take it easy.. and I wish him well!
