Incorrect Pete, Johan had raced at the Cemetery Circuit previously.
What the commentator was referring to is a Cemetery Circuit Rookie/virgin/first timer...
Ron Grant won the feature race in 1969, he is the last rider to win the big race on his first visit.
Better still Stauffer was on MODIFIED STOCK SUSPENSION too, the KYB gear he will running in the Nationals waS still sitting on Bernards shelf

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Yeah I know he'd raced there before Spyda...just didn't think he'd done so with the big boys!

And Stauffer...way to go! Wanganui (as I'm sure you know) is a daunting place to ride fast at the best of times, let alone as a newbie! Funny you should say that about Stauffer's suspension too. I've argued with lots of people here that they spend far too much time (and money) worrying about suspension, rather than simply learning to ride the fuck out of the bike with what it has.

Interestingly, when The Peoples Hero (Mr Bruns) won all three legs of the RHM from all three rows of the grid, he did it on a stock rear shock as it had rained previously and he wanted softer for the wets. After three races on a dry track, on wets and thoroughly spanking the likes of Hepburn and notable others, his rear wet was fresh as a daisy.

i hate the number of mistakes this commentator makes, at least he is better than when he does MX and gets half the riders names mixed up,
He didn't do such a bad job, for anyone around in the eighties, Tony Wrong Lap Palmer from TV 1 was way worse.

Daniel........ they never show F3 as they couldn't even show any of the F2 Races as they only ever show the F1, Motards and Sidecars. You would think for once in their lives they would show F2, F3 and the Post Classic Races or aren't they worth viewing???????.

    Good old on demand
"...New Zealanders, for all their faults, have virtues that are precious: an unwillingness to be intimidated by the new, the formidable, or class systems; trust in situations where there would otherwise be none; compassion for the underdog; a sense of responsibility for people in difficulty; not undertaking to do something without seeing it through - "

Really ? That'd be great, as I subscribed for the day from Perth, then had a power blackout lasting over 12 hours...so no Wanganui, no Boxing Day test, no aircon on a 38 deg day, and no fridge, grrrrr
