    Yamaha clutch slave help

Just need some advice for a mate. Every time we go for a rdie I have to bleed his clutch for him as the fluid level drops while sitting for extended periods. 4 - 6 weeks.

I am getting sick of doing this so where would the fluid be going? there is no evidence of fluid on the ground so would it be exiting the slave into the motor and would a rebuild of the slave fix this.

Slave Kit for his 97 YZF1000 is only $41

    Cheers

Teach him to bleed it or ride with someone else.

Fit the slave kit and take it from there. Check the rod for wear whle you're in there.

Same deal as my other response on KTM thread except more so. This is a common FZR/YZF thing. Slave seal is erm $30-40 last time I bought one & slave drops off the side of the engine in minutes. Swap out seal, but clean up the corrosion with some super fine sandpaper & clean well & dry before putting new seal back in. Will bleed up like a brake, but feel a bit odd as you are working against springs (once main air is out) instead of brake pads on a disc.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
