heh, I saw this the other day and did wonder (found at a different source, can't remember which though)... the excuse seems "plausible", although the fact that they're splitting the ground, under ground, so close to the fault would have me more than a tad concerned... but they're scientists, they know what they're doing... it'll be interesting to see if the fault goes pop.

Yep they are.....,around here though its Earthquake zone A anyway & the nearest fault to me is about 70 metres, the next one is about 250 metres across the river![]()

perhaps earthquake data being removed from the USGS website in regards to Yellowstone seismic activity is more palatable?
