I'm riding back to Akaroa after work, if you want to come along, probably will take the stock route and a short paper road.

SAECOWilson, 39B Gasson St, Sydenham for good bearings. Get the marine ones, sealed both sides. Phone:03-379 3732.

As for an engineer for spacers, I've personally only replaced a couple and bought stock ones to do it but there are lots of potential engineering places around.

Might be free to ride this weekend if I manage to get this tree stump at home up out of the ground first.

Another thing is just a week after I replaced the rear bearing it fells like the new one start to worn I think it because of the worn spacer, someone have a good engineering shop to recommend to make a new one and a shop for the bearing if it matter in which shop I'll buy them from.

    cheers Itamar.

Hi, can someone tell me if the old Le bons bay track up Takamatua is public access or private? If private, who do I call?

Public, grade 3 on Remotemoto. I love that track, ends are a little hard to find unless you know which gates are which at the bottom and the top is easily missed.
    When are you going?

I too would like this information

I just made the swap from road-oriented tyres to Pirelli Scorpion mid-hards and I'm itching to try them out.

    They are TERRIFYING on pavement

Thanks TA. So, my take is that the track runs off The Takamatua valley rd,about halfway up? Gates? I went up the start of the track to the first gate, a few hundred meters in. Does that sound right? I will post up here when we go.

Actually don't specifically remember the bottom of that one, I do remember the top though as I usually decend it.
It could be the Robinsons Bay track that is tricky from the bottom although you'll get dead ends eventually if you do make a wrong turn, possibly on to private land though.

Finally put Rego on the bike so guess I should do some actual riding instead of just talking about it. mmm, Sunday.

I'm glad for the weather, as some of my parts aren't here yet definitely keen on CCC next weekend, I'll strap a jerry can to my bike!
