After a bit of inet surfing it appears that the top models (in NZ) are the 'Valentine 1' and the 'Bel RX65'.

Do any of you guys own one of these and which would be best for my 'Bird? :unsure: :unsure:

How waterproof are they and are they easy to wire into the electrics? I'm also thinking about sticking the unit in my wife's car when I'm not using it so any gen in that respect would be welcome too......

Also attaching my 'bird installation guide as I've fitted a really nice bird-specific mount since and updated the article photos since you saw it last. It will take any detector. Wiring is also covered.
