Actually I can't believe with all the looking around I had done that I didn't find that site in the first place.

YellowDog, can I ask why you wouldn't buy gloves from overseas? If I've done the math correctly, including shipping it will only cost me $160NZD. That's much more affordable in comparison.
the risk is if you get them here and they dont fit: that risk is less if you've tried on a pair here, but things like helmets have different shapes for different markets. (Arai and Shoei particularly). It is difficult (but not impossible) to return or exchange stuff bought from the US, though sometimes it is not cost effective to do so.

The best fitting pair of gloves I have had in years I bought here on KB because a guy bought them on spec on the interwebs and they didnt fit him when they arrived. I lucked out because they fit me perfectly.

But you know, risk and reward of internet shopping.

I have purchased a bit of stuff from ridersdiscount.com and they have been good. Cheap shipping. The shipping is slow however. Some other outfits i have bought gear from charge 4or 5 times as much.

Be interestingto see how they turn out costwise landed - $US100 for the gloves +$US25 postage = $170 or so in NZ. Not a bad saving - if they fit.

IF Cycletreads would have said yes to a $200 sale, I'd say the extra $30 would be well worth it for coverage of any issues.
    How'd you go, Newo?

I agree with you steve, Which is why I tried my best to bargain with any local retailers who would be willing to get them in (or sell me current stock). Heck i would have even sacrificed my colour preference for that peace of mind.

However, if they say it can't be done, then i guess it can't be done.

The bill has turned up on my credit card at $160 NZD. Still waiting on delivery but I'm expecting it to take a while.

    Gloves arived today.

    Right size, right colour.

Fit well, though I expected them to as I had tried them on already.

I only noticed one small loose thread but I can't actually tell if its a loose thread or just a part they missed when cleaning off all the ends. Time will tell though.

Can't wait to use them first thing in the morning tomorrow. It was love at first sight haha.

Too much information. And an interesting way to break them in.

    Yeah alright.

    Walked right into that one.

On a side note though, the extra ventilation these gloves provide is awesome.

They won't be any good for rainy days or cold nights, totally worth the purchase though. So much feel and comfort.
