The FrankenGPX celebrates 100 motorcycle years!

And to celebrate 100 motorcycle years (23 Human years) the FrankenGPX has been fitted with a Tutoro chain oiler!

Also, to celebrate our approximately 25,000km anniversary Franky has also received a brand new 15 tooth front sprocket (up from 14 tooth) to go with the near new chain and rear sprocket I bought a while back.

From humble beginnings, here Franky is caught red handed having cone relations with Conelius!

Franky and I didn't always see eye to eye especially in respect to stopping distances. But after a massive front suspension overhaul and new sport demon tyres I found Franky to be far more agreeable.

We've been through a lot together, many more kilometres and improvements await!

    Here's to you Franky!

Original 1988 motor was replaced with a 2007 motor at about 80,000kms.

Very nice dude. I have just gifted my GPX over to the girlfriend. Is an awesome bike. How is the sprocket change? Much of a difference?

Quite a difference, going to take a while to get properly used to it. Sits at 7300rpm-ish at 100km rather than 8000. Have to change down more though when you need some power.

Squiggles the Tutoro chain oilers are a really smart device. Very simple and work brilliantly. (But of course I would say that because FastBikeGear is the NZ distributor for TUTORO.

We now have a new formulation no-fling oil for the TUTORO chain oilers that works even better than the previous formulation. The new formulation oil has an advanced additive to prevent 'fling off'

The advantage of using thicker and stickier oils is of course that they stay on the chain better and don't 'fling off' on your rear tyre. Unfortunately this additive and the thicker oil weight means you can only use it with the TUTORO chain oiler. Other brands of oilers are limited to using fairly light weight oils because if you use a thicker or stickier oil they tend to gunge up)

While we recommend our FBG TUTORO oil, a key advantage of the TUTORO chain oilers is that the TUTORO chain oiler will happily dispense almost any oil.
