Announce Well Mashman - It appears the end is nigh!

four hours ago NASA released news of a huge spewing hole in the Sun that is turning to face earth as we speak.....
http://spaceweather.com/ this posting fresh on the net from NASA.
seems we can expect CMEs -Coronal Mass Ejections to hit earth within days!
that means, goodbye to all your data stored in chips or hard drives at the least!
maybe even dramatic weather worldwide and the odd earthquake or 7 and eruptions too.

The webmaster and auther of the posting is Dr Tony Phillips is Editor in Chief of the NASA Educational Resources Division

Retired- just some guy with a few bikes......

Unclickable - but that's a link to NASA's educational resources?

I suspect that the "huge spewing hole" is rather closer to home...

Ah, thank you - a link at last.

I love how the link is abbreviated though - note how it says "...ass-ejections"...?

It is indeed serious - from that story:

Nasa scientists braced for 'solar tsunami' to hit earth
The earth could be hit by a wave of violent space weather as early as Tuesday after a massive explosion on the sun, scientists have warned...
Just one flaw in your panic scenario - the article is already six months old...
