Nats R5 Orion Motorcycle Club (seriously)?

Has anyone seen the entry fees for R5 at Manfield?

It's crazy !! $175 entry fee and $75 for a transponder, thats $245 for 20 laps if that ! Is this an error?

AMCC run R4 at HD for:

    $150 entry and $35 transponder hire = $185

Got this off the entry forms on www.mnz.co.nz
    Firestarter Racing on facebook http://www.facebook.com/FirestarterRacing

Does'nt seem overly priced to me you'll get more than just 20 laps. I think the club should be thanked for taking on running a nats rnd.
    I cant wait

    Don't forget its a 2 day event.

Thats for 2 days hirage of the transponder so seems standard.

Pretty close to a 2 day meet in the winter series cost wise.

If you read the AMCC entry form more carefully the entry for a non-AMCC member (AMCC members get a discount - seems a little unfair to out of towners IMO) is exactly the same with transponder hire at $35/day.

Also as mentioned above it is a 2-day event with 2 x practice sessions, 1 x Qualifying, 1 x 15 lap and 1 x 20 lap race. (at least for the Superbike and Supersport classes. The other championship classes I think get 1 less practice session)

Looking up the entry forms for previous years its about the same cost.

Could be, seems cheaper than last year

You'll shit your pants at the HD entry fee if you consider this one expensive

It doesn't include Friday practice which is extra

It amazes me how people seem to think racing a bike is cheap not to mention people that race that cant afford it and expect everyone else to pay for it under a guise of sponsorship opportunity.

(all thats not directed at you Criminal)

Agreed RE the people that go racing and cannot afford it them selves, I have always thought that before you go asking for money off companies or Friends, you must have some thing to offer back, guess i was naieve in my first years of racing, and should have bludged more rather than getting a second job and paying for my own fun, and 90% of the bludging is done from people who only do it for fun
