6 March, evening - Rusty Nuts club night in Bluff I think
    7 March, 12pm-1pm - Bluff Checkpoint (start)
    9 March, 12pm-1pm - West Cape Checkpoint
    10 March, 12pm-1pm - East Cape Checkpoint
    11 March, 12pm-1pm - Cape Reinga Checkpoint

Be at checkpoint between times to check in, then ride to the next checkpoint. Pretty straight forward?

I wonder if someone in the NI with local knowledge could help me out with some information:

Is there fuel avaialble at Eight Mile Junction, where SH 3 and SH 4 meet?

How about at Te Araroa on the East Cape?

    Thanks very much

There's nothing at 8mile except a sign post. Oddly enough though, it's only 8 miles from Te Kuiti, where there is gas. BP on the way in from the south and a shell on the way out to the North. Coming from Taranaki, I think the fuel before is G.A.S. at PioPio and after will be Otorahonga.

There is fuel at Te Araroa although they're not reliable out of hours, it won't be a problem on the SX as you're there between 11am & 1pm. There's a few G.A.S. stops on the southern side which won't be much good to you and I don't recall any between te Araroa & Opotiki.

Ah, perhaps you haven't heard... as LBD has touched on it... the bike isn't uh... as it once was...

Got it back into Auckland on Wednesday night... I can't wait for a front brake again... linked brakes are better than rear only, but not by much.

I'll blog the whole story tomorrow...
